Rhea Ripley's torn meniscus has forced WWE to scrap multiple planned matches for SummerSlam, including a proposed championship bout between Jade Cargill and Charlotte Flair, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select. Tiffany Stratton's planned WWE Women's United States Championship defense in her home state of Minnesota was also cancelled, with Stratton instead entering a five-woman ladder match for the Interim WWE Women's Championship. WWE will crown an interim champion at SummerSlam and plans a title unification match once Ripley, who is hopeful to be cleared by fall, returns from injury.
