Jeff Hardy Trial Date Extended Again For Unforeseen Reasons

A hearing in the case of AEW star Jeff Hardy, who was arrested in June on a DUI charge, has been postponed yet again. Jeff Hardy was arrested on June 13, 2022, for driving without a licence and exceeding the legal DUI limit three times. He was thought to be barely conscious at the time of his arrest.

All Elite Wrestling suspended him without pay, and he entered a rehab facility. There have been reports in recent months that he has turned a corner and may be able to return to action relatively soon. Hardy had a court date set for November 17th, but according to PWInsider, the date was not kept after Hardy’s defence team filed for a continuance, and the pre-trial hearing will now take place on December 21st.

Jeff Hardy was arrested on similar charges in March 2018 and October 2019, making this his third strike in a state where such a charge is considered a felony. A hearing was originally scheduled for October, but it was postponed due to extensive mitigating materials that were only recently received. According to the report, the evidence has led to the two parties working on a potential pretrial resolution, which could result in a plea deal preventing a trial.
