New AEW Trademark Is Reportedly For Former Undisputed ERA

Former WWE Stars and current All Elite Wrestling Stars Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly formed the Undisputed ERA faction at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III in 2017, when they were still under contract to the WWE. This is the same night Adam Cole would make his official debut with WWE. Top WWE NXT Star Roderick Strong would then be added to the group several months later and they would hold all the NXT Championships and dominate the entire brand before going their separate ways in early 2021.

In August 2021, Bobby Fish would be the first former Undisputed ERA member to be released by the WWE, while Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly would let their WWE contracts expire and decide to not re-sign with the company. The only former Undisputed ERA member that is still under contract to the WWE is Diamond Mine member Roderick Strong.

Adam Cole and Bobby Fish would then reunite in AEW, when they would be put in a storyline with NJPW’s CHAOS extension, which makes up members of Best Friends. On the Holiday Bash episode of AEW Dynamite, Kyle O’Reilly would then re-align himself with Cole and Fish, when he helped Cole beat Orange Cassidy in Singles action. The former Undisputed ERA then officially reunited on the New Year’s Smash episode of AEW Dynamite, when they defeated Best Friends in Trios action with the help of the Young Bucks.

This past January 3rd, AEW filed to trademark the “Paragon” name and a potential logo for the faction as if the company decides to officially team Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly with each other, then they will not be able to use the Undisputed ERA name since it is owned by the WWE. Despite there being no confirmation as of this writing, the “Paragon” term was used during a promo between O’Reilly and Cole on the December 29th episode of AEW Dynamite and that is most likely the name name for their group.
