Reason Why The Paul Wight vs. QT Marshall Match Was The Co-Main Event Of All Out

All Out this past Sunday night was believed to be not only the best PPV AEW has had in the history of the promotion, but the best PPV in the entire pro wrestling industry this year. Legends, veterans and Hall of Famers and even fellow pro wrestling Stars from other promotions had nothing but great things to say about the PPV Event as not only did it bring excitement back in professional wrestling, it has awoken something the fans thought was forever gone.

Despite things going as great as it did for AEW at the All Out PPV, many fans questioned why the Paul Wight vs. QT Marshall Match was booked as the co-main event considering that there were other matches that had higher star power and value that could have been booked as the co-main event, but was booked ahead of it.

Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that the reason behind this is due to the fact that AEW was afraid about the show as well as the matches going long and if a match had to be cut, then this match would be it. Meltzer also noted that this was the reason for the match being booked as just a three-minute match and it was booked in that spot as when time is needed to be adjusted, then the duration of the match would depend on how much more time is left on the PPV.
