Paradigm Pro’s Heavy Hitters Tournament Returns This Weekend

Columbus, OH – Paradigm Pro Wrestling’s Heavy Hitters 4 will stream live on IndependentWrestling.TV this Sunday at 1PM ET / 10AM PT.

Traditionally Paradigm Pro Wrestling’s biggest event of the year, the show is built around a variety of hardcore stipulation matches and a one-night UWFi Rules Tournament. In the main event, former GCW Tag Team Champion “The One Man Militia” Matthew Justice will face his tag team partner turned archival, 44OH’s “The Bev” Bobby Beverly. This is the fourth singles meeting between the two and the rivalry has been considered the most violent in Paradigm history.

“Their first fight was so violent we had to call an ambulance when Justice was knocked unconscious. Their third fight was even crazier and almost lost us our home venue in Indiana as a result. As a result, we vowed never to run that match again. But after a year, the fans demanded it and we listened,” said Paradigm Pro Wrestling co-owner and matchmaker Gary J Wilson.

The namesake “Heavy Hitters Tournament” is an eight fighter competition contested entirely under UWFi Rules. (UWFi Rules are essentially a hybrid of traditional professional wrestling and mixed martial arts – a ruleset named for the now defunct Union of Professional Wrestling Forces International promotion in Japan.) Competitors in the tournament include former Ring of Honor star Max the ImpalerIsaiah Broner, Derek Neal, Lord CreweAppollo StarrTommy VendettaJoseph Alexander, and Max Zero.

The event will also feature a host of title fights. Suge D will look to continue his year-long reign as Paradigm Heavyweight Champion when he takes on local challenger “The Swinger” Ryan ClarkAustin Connelly defends the Heavy Hitters Championship in a dog-collar match against Jordan BladeRon Mathis puts his Brass Knuckles Championship on the line in a Monster’s Ball match also featuring Joshua BishopJosh CraneLobo Okami, Scarlett, and Brutus Dylan; and a Double Jeopardy Title match pitting Super Middleweight Champion Dustin Leonard and a Mystery Partner against Commonwealth Champion Sidney Von Engeland and Aiden Von Engeland in a tag team match with both titles on the line.

Heavy Hitters is always our biggest show of the year as it uniquely highlights our brand’s blend of shoot-style professional wrestling and hardcore pro wrestling. Heavy Hitters 2 really put us on the map as it was one of the first major independent wrestling events to happen after the initial coronavirus shutdown. This year we’re looking to top it with a crazy card in-front of what should be our biggest audience of the year,” said Wilson.

The event will  take place this Sunday at the King of Clubs music venue in Columbus, OH. Tickets range from $15 to $50 when purchased in advance, and are available at ParadigmProWrestling.com. The events will also air live on the international streaming service IndependentWrestling.TV.
