Karrion Kross Was In Talks With AEW Before WWE Return

Karrion Kross is an exceptional superstar. He is currently with WWE, but there were talks with AEW before he made his surprise return to the Triple H regime. WWE knows how to shock the fans, but even more shocking was the possibility of Kross going to AEW.

Kross knows that Triple H has an exceptional mind in the business and his work is always on top. Kross and Scarlett were brought back by Triple H on the August 5th edition of WWE SmackDown. The two have signalled Roman Reigns about his time ticking, but despite that the feud hasn’t happened.

On the contrary, Kross is in a feud with Drew McIntyre. Kross will wrestle Drew McIntyre in a steel cage match at next Saturday’s Crown Jewel event. Former WWE/Impact Wrestling W. Morrissey made his AEW debut on the May 4 episode of Dynamite in a match that saw him lose to Wardlow.

Kross was reportedly the other name pitched to do the match and also asked about being in the role, but his appearance was scrapped at the last minute due to concerns over how it would match with his debut as a fan favorite and main eventer in WWE.

The AEW President expressed his interest in working with Kross and Scarlett in the future during the post-ROH Supercard Of Honor media scrum. It was reported at the time that Kross was pitching to do the match, but he decided against it due to scheduling concerns regarding his wife, former WWE Diva Scarlett Bordeaux. Kross talked about it while speaking with Mirror:

There was an idea that was proposed to me to come and do something there [at AEW]. But it was just so abundantly clear to me from dealing with fans face to face that a WWE return was what people wanted to see.

Kross, who was introduced as a heel in WWE during his first run with the company, has always been noted for how much he embodies an insane persona both on and off camera. He speaks candidly about how crazy he can be and that’s something that makes him special.
